Our Bodies

In video art, the human body can be seen as a medium of artistic expression. It has been considered a moving sculpture for the art world. Using it through video art has been able to express to viewers new ideas and emotions that they might not have been able to see through static forms of art.

An interesting idea that was mentioned in the reading was the idea of how the the art was being made could be just as important as the result the artist wanted to make. The process recorded then becomes a new outlook on art, in which the viewers are given insight on the extent that goes into creating the finishing result. With these in mind, the recorded process ends up becoming the finished result of the whole art work.
